Building Energy Management Systems
A "smart" building is one where energy consumption can be monitored and therefore controlled, and targets set for its reduction.
Indicative applications include:
- Collection of energy consumption data from special metering devices
- Central control of all electrical appliances
- Programming of electrical appliances to operate at times of reduced utility supplier tariffs (night-time)
- Monitoring of a number of building systems e.g. lighting, space heating etc.
The c2h team keeps up to date with the latest developments in the field of energy control and management which is anticipated to be standard practice in the very near future.
Depending on the particular requirements of every project, we recommend:
- The installation of ‘smart’ temperature sensors and controls
- The installation of energy consumption meters
- The installation of integrated systems of energy management for homes (‘smart home’ systems), hotels, commercial buildings
