The C2h Environmental Engineering team includes WELL APs and can undertake the assessment and certification of new, under renovation or existing buildings using the WELL standard.
WELL is the first building standard to focus exclusively on human health and wellness and it is based on years of research in health and scientific standards.
WELL Certified spaces are designed to improve the nutrition, fitness, mood, sleep patterns, productivity and performance of the people working, living, shopping or playing inside of them.
WELL is composed of over 100 features that can be applied to each building project for a customized approach. Each WELL feature is designed to address issues that impact health and wellness through design, operations and behaviour. WELL measures attributes of buildings that impact health by looking at 7 concepts:
Air |
Water |
Nourishment |
Light |
Comfort |
Fitness |
Mind |
According to the achieved overall performance, the building is classified into one of the following ratings:
Silver, Gold or Platinum
Example building types which can be certified using the WELL standard include:
- Offices
- Retail
- Commercial buildings
- Hotels
- Care homes
- Healthcare buildings
- Supermarkets
Benefits
By placing people at the heart of design, construction, operations and development decisions, WELL can add value to real estate assets, generate savings in personnel costs and enhance human health, well-being and experience.
*The WELL standard is designed to complement green building rating systems, such as LEED® and BREEAM.
Health & Safety Seal
As an accredited AP, we can help you gain the "Health & Safety Seal", designed for the COVID-19 era. This will help communicate to your buildings’ employees, guests or users that your priority is their health and safety.
