What is LEED

LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is one of the most recognised and internationally credible methods for the assessment and certification of buildings’ sustainability performance, assessing a range of technical criteria in 9 thematic areas:

 

The criteria per thematic area may be either pre-requisites or selection criteria, and depending on the criteria met the building achieves a total score, and is classified in one of 4 categories:

Platinum, Gold, Silver, Certified.
